Rural Development & Environment Management Society (RUDES) was established in 2002 and officially registered in the district administration office Baitadi and social welfare council. RUDES is nonprofit-making, non-political, non-sectarian, Non-Governmental Organization working with its mission to promote the water sanitation & hygiene and well-being of the underprivileged and marginalized people. RUDES is providing water sanitation and hygiene and livelihood services through different partner/donors and projects in different parts of province no.7.
Social inclusion and equity is promoted all across RUDES (both at program and organizational level) by adopting an approach of Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI). Although most of its work is carried out in rural areas, it is gradually trying to extend the services for the rapidly expanding semi urban poor. RUDES perceives itself as a 'Learning Organization' and continues to increase its focus on innovative, sustainable and low cost alternative technologies, approaches as well as learning around water and sanitation and hygiene, livelihood and advocacy.

risk reduction (DRR) related programs and income generating programs for
WOODCAP to ensure their rights and to improve their life standard.

Goal: To bring sustainable improvement in the
social through income generating activity/ water sanitation & hygiene, educational, nutritional, mitigation, adaptation & recovery from
disasters and economic status of marginalized community, women, Dalit and poor
communities through the operation of participatory programs by the utilization
of resources available at local level by empowerment of local community.
